Suspension
Cult uses different suspension designs for bikes with different intended use. Reason for this is very simple – every terrain and riding style has it's own demands. We have chosen three suspension designs:
- single pivot,
- four pivot aka Horst-Link and
- four pivot FSS.
Single Pivot
Easy to understand and not so easy to build. Simplicity and small number of
parts deliver extremely reliable operation. Main rear swing-arm pivot is located
on the main frame, while its position and the length of the swing-arm depend on
the desired riding characteristics. Single pivot suspension is used on Mania and
Fobia bikes, model year from 2006 to 2008.
Four Pivot (Horst-link)
For riders who like active suspension. Every suspension system has a certain
degree of activity during braking and pedaling and when talking about suspension
performance, activity is on the top of the 'wanted' list. All active systems are
influenced by terrain, braking and pedaling and from all this systems Horst link
is the most active. System is used on models Mashina and Rexia.

FSS (Float Shock system)
FSS system is an upgrade to the highly popular VPP suspension (Virtual Pivot
Point). VPP eliminates forces from pedaling and braking and keeps both of these
influences away from the suspension performance. For this reason this system
doesn't even require 'smart' shocks with lock-out.
Same goes for the FSS system, but in this case we can get even further
improvement of the suspension performance in all stages of the travel. Operation
is very specific and you simply need to test it! FSS system is used on bikes X
'07, Insomnia '08 and '09 and Mania '09.
